What is the history of Christianity?

The Crusades
Summary:
Christianity is a complex religion that is based on the foundation of forgiveness, conflict resolution and reconciliation. Additionally, it discusses justice in depth. Here have been times when the religion has not lived up to those qualities (i.e. the Crusades between 1096 and 1292). Christians believe the Christ died for to earn forgiveness for the sins of humans in reconciliation to God. Forgiveness is a requirement in the Christian faith.

3. How does Christianity view Justice?
a. How is justice adjudicated

4. How does Christianity view forgiveness?
a. Is it a must?
b. How is it attainted?
c. What is a historical example of this?
5. Do the crusades prove or disprove any of the above points?
Thesis:
The Crusades were ferocious and bloody set of wars fought between the Christians and Muslims. These wars appear to go against the very foundations of either religion. Both religions believe forgiveness is a must, and conflict resolution should be attempted.
