Questions to Focus on in Your Comparative Analysis

What is the point of resonance or common question between the two readings? In other words: what is the basis of the comparison?
Why is this question or point of resonance worth discussing? Why is it important to the authors? Why is it important to you?
How does each author approach the common question or theme? What do they each argue?
What is the shape or outcome of the conversation? For example:
Do the authors agree or disagree about how to answer the question?
Does one author address a gap left by the other?
If they disagree, do you find one argument more convincing than the other? If so, why? Draw on specific evidence and examples.
Do the authors share a common argument or perspective? If so, what is it? How do they each bring something different to the conversation?
