For Milestone One, submit a proposal describing your final project. This proposal will be about gun control regulations in the State of Vermont, and how they should be restricted more to help protect citizens. Explain why you chose the issue (because gun control is a matter of public safety and school shootings happen more often than they should, Vermont could be the next State that has a tragic school shooting) and what interest group or groups are currently working on that issue or a similar issue.

My suggestion is to make a sub-heading for each of these three areas, then add the details that show how your issue area fulfills these points:
What is the policy area you are choosing? Provide at least one paragraph (~6 developed sentences) explaining the policy area using credible sources to support your ideas/claims.
Why did you choose this issue? Provide at least one paragraph that details why you chose this policy area. Why is it important to you? How is it a state issue? What makes it a good policy area to address? What is wrong and how should it be corrected? (Use these questions to help create reasoned support for choosing the policy area.) Use credible sources to support claims.
Detail interest groups addressing this or a similar issue. Provide at least one paragraph on the state level interest groups that are currently working to address the issue (it could be a national level interest group that takes action at the state level). Use credible sources or the organization’s website to support claims.
