Children with Disabilities Social workers often engage with children who have a disability. There are multiple and complex needs for these children and their families. Consider one of the following disabilities: • fetal alcohol syndrome • birth defects • or shaken baby syndrome Reflect upon how you would assess and treat children impacted by these disabilities.
