What is the purpose of the Map?

Mapping Where We Live
In this paper you will select one or two maps encountered in the readings about the region we live in (Weeks 7-10). Use the concepts from Taylor, Ybarra, Chait, Shire, and Abe to describe the map and what it tells us.
Consider one of the following questions as you analyze the map:
What is the purpose of the Map?
Who made the map?
How does it work?
What is being measured, defined, described by the map?
All papers must be typewritten utilizing proper 1-inch margins, double line spacing, a 12pt font, and 4-5 full length pages. Papers must be written using formal English and Chicago Manual Style citations. Answer each question fully, offering detailed information to support your position.
Papers will not be accepted late.
In addition to the questions posed in the assignment, papers will be graded on the following:
