I was really interested in Polanyi’s work but also Pieper’s theory of leisure. I decided that it would be great to intersect them. The following is the research question.
What Is The Role Of Non-Verbal Communication In Cross-Cultural Communication?
Enage with the non-verbal communication elements that act as a BRIDGE between the cultures. Understanding these elements is crucial for effective communication between cultures.
Cross-Cultural Communication comes through LEISURE, mostly in the form of TOURISM.
The significance of my research question is that globalization is but the inevitable consequence of Cross-Cultural Communication.
Globalization is a direct consequence of the sense of trust between cultures, brought about by incessant Non-Verbal Communication between millions of persons over centuries.
Make sure you look at the limitations as well as the opportunities, internal and external to us. And what would have to be done with one’s travels to make them constitute a good use of leisure. And considering it’s relevance right now during the pandemic, should travel continue to be less common?
