What is your average daily intake of calories? (Please average your three days and show me your math).
How does this intake compare to your calorie recommendation?
What factors are used to estimate calorie needs in a human? (from your text)
Do you feel that your calorie needs were estimated correctly using SparkPeople? Why or why not?
What changes, if any, are needed to more closely meet your calorie needs? (Here is where I want detail – be specific with the foods you’d change/add, what portion size would you change/add, and what might you replace with? Why?)
Do you think calories tell the whole story of a food or an eating experience? Why or why not?
It doesn’t matter to me as your instructor what your calorie intake is – everybody is different and every body is different. What matters to me is the act of reflection in this exercise.
