This brief article review is intended to help familiarize you with scientific research focused on child development. This brief article review and reflection should be submitted by Sunday, Nov 7 at 11:59 pm. For this assignment, you should have identified a topic that is relevant to your own development and submitted this topic in a previous assignment.
After having thoroughly read the journal article, you should complete a 2-3 page article review which you will submit here. The review must be organized in the following manner:
1st section; Heading: Objectives: (1 or 2 paragraphs) Provide a brief intro of your topic and identify the study purpose and/or objectives. – 15 points
2nd section; Heading: Methods and Results – (at least 2 paragraphs): Summarize the methodology used (what did they do, and with whom) and the results reported (what statistical analysis did they use, and what did they find). – 25 points
3rd section; Heading: Reflection: Provide personal reflection: What is your opinion on the value of this article – how are the study findings relevant to the study of child development – your own, and others’? – 10 points
Each section will be graded on content (proper information for section) and quality (grammar/language, punctuation, sentence structure)
Formatting: 10 points The review should have one-inch margins all around, Times New Roman or Arial 11-12 point font, and single or 1.5 line spacing. Only your name, “Article Review and Reflection”, and a citation for the article should appear in the first lines of the paper. No title page or additional headings should be included.
