Choose from any of the lenses so far and use this lens to analyze “Jubilie”
Outline for Analysis: (3 pages max- double spaced)
1. Introduction:
A short summary of the plot of the story –this summary should preface your
analysis and relate back to the theory.
After, identify the literary theory you are going to apply
Very briefly explain why you have chosen this lens (your points).
(Write formally, don’t use “I”)
2. Body:
Apply the theory you have chosen. Among your insightful comments be sure to
address the following using the questions posed by the theory you’ve selected:
Interpret at least one character.
Interpret at least one incident.
How does this theory extend your understanding of the text to real life?
3. Conclusion – wrap it up by restating your how this theory illuminates the text and how
you’ve proven that.
4. Things to Consider:
Which quotes from the text strongly support the theory you have chosen?
What kinds of things did the theory illuminate that you might not have noticed
before?
Are there certain questions that are raised by this theory that might otherwise not
be noticed? Evaluate the importance of addressing these questions.

Overall i have to choose a lens to analyze the text whether it is Colonial, Psychological (Freud), Gender, Historical, Marxist, Formalist or many more and then write a literary lens analysis with the steps I posted above I will attach more files on the rubric as well as my past example of this. also added some examples of my writing if you have any further questions just let me know.
