For the week 1 Discussion Post:
Based on your reading of the textbook, Chapter 1 pages 3- 12, in particular, it is described that much of sexuality is influenced and shaped by popular culture, especially, the mass media. Popular culture presents us with countless images of what it is to be sexual.
Question 1: But, what kinds of sexuality does the media portray for our consumption? What messages does the media send about sexuality to children, adolescents, adults, and older people? To what extent do you think your peers are influenced by the media? How does it affect you? Please address these questions in your Discussion Post (Minimum 200 words).
For this discussion post, incorporate information on Sexuality, Popular Culture, and the Media (presented by the textbook author in Chapter 1 on p. 3- 12)- and integrated in numerous other pages of Chapter 1.
