Imagine you are trying to gain public support to preserve tallgrass prairie and oak savanna ecosystems in the upper Midwest.
There is very little native prairie remaining, but agricultural land can be restored to this ecosystem. However, agricultural land is also rapidly being sold for development (we see this happening right here in the Quad Cities).
What conservation strategies mentioned in Chapter 5 would you advocate for? What other approaches might you take to convince your fellow citizens to restore this ecosystem?
