Tibetan Buddhist Meditation (https://tricycle.org/magazine/tibetan-buddhist-meditation/)
According to legend, Buddhism finds its source in the personal experiences of a noble prince, Siddhartha, who was born in modern day Nepal. Forsaking the luxury of his noble position, the prince sought to experience the life of commoners who lived lives characterized by suffering. The beliefs and practices developed by Siddhartha (the Buddha) were intended to alleviate personal suffering and find a pathway to enlightenment through the process. Consequently, Buddhism provides a psychology and strategy to endure suffering on the road to enlightenment.
