You chose a worthy area of study. Helping children adapt to and feel comfortable in school spaces is important and helpful to the flow of the day. This is also a common felt difficulty among teachers.
All the terms you use in the research question should have clear meanings. You want to avoid vague language and broad ideas, and be clear about what, who, where, and when your question addresses. You addressed some of these aspects using specific wording. However, it is still a bit unclear what you hope to accomplish or how you plan to go about it.
You want to make the questions as specific and focused as possible.
For example, are you interested in techniques or strategies that the teacher might use to create a positive and safe learning environment? If so, how can you word that?

Directions for Completing the Assignment
Go back and reread your original research question. Imagine that you are going to carry out a study to answer it. Brainstorm a list or create a web of other potential questions (related to your original one) and/or explore additional aspects of your question that spark your curiosity. See page 30 of the Hubbard & Power (2003) text for a brainstorming example.
After you have your questions and thinking down on paper, brainstorm and write out your responses to the questions listed below. Due to time constraints, you will not carry this plan out so avoid limiting yourself and do not worry about whether you can actually accomplish each aspect of the plan. Simply imagine that you can. Be sure to connect all of your project plan decisions to what you’ve learned in the last three weeks of the course.

Who is involved? Who will be studied?
What types of interactions take place in these settings?
How will you observe? What artifacts might be collected? What data collection techniques will you use?
Once you’ve considered the questions listed above and jotted down your thoughts related to them, download the project plan document and fill in the details of your research design.
