While learning about the cognitive revolution in the Intro lecture, we learned that the “debate of the century” really wasn’t much of a debate given that Skinner refused to admit he read Chomsky’s rebuttal to his book Verbal Behavior let alone debate him. Discuss whether or not and to what extent you subscribe to Chomsky’s Innate Language Acquisition Device theory of language.
