There are many television shows that portray family life in America. Choose one (could be a sitcom, a reality show, even a cartoon (no movies) and analyze what kind of family they are. This works best if you watch an actual entire episode. You discussion post must meet a 400 word minimum. Make sure to include the title of the television show you are analyzing. You do not need to respond to any other discussion posts, but I would encourage reading over the shows other student’s have chosen. Grading will be based on grammar, word count minimum, insight, and effort into the activity.
The following are some ideas to think about for your post:
1. Family members, descriptions, and roles
2. Are they a nuclear family or extended family?
3. Do they seem to be a happy family? Why or why not?
4. How dos the family cope or deal with problems?
5. How do the parents instill discipline and/or values in tehir children?
6. What types of activities does the family enjoy doing?
7. How do siblings get along?
8. Do the parents share power in the family or is authority more veted in one parent?
9. Do the parents appear to be in love?
10. Is this family similair to your family or any families that you know personally?
