what unique adaptations do African elephants have and how do the unique adaptations of the organism make it well suited to its lifestyle?

This paper requires at least 3 peer reviewed sources as the source of information. I was told one none peer reviewed source was ok but it cannot be were the bulk of the information comes from. My vertebrate of choice was the African elephant. I can provide my initial sources that I found and two checkpoint paragraphs that I submitted to my professor.
