What was the approach of the colonial opposition to British imperialism between 1763 and 1776?

QUESTIONS
1) What was the approach of the colonial opposition to British imperialism between 1763 and 1776? At what points and for what reasons did the Americans use diplomacy, political and economic pressure, and military action to convince the British to change direction?
2) Could the British have won the Revolutionary War? If so, which of their strategies could have led to victory and which ones were destined to fail? If not, why were all of their strategies destined to fail? Be sure to include analysis of each British strategy and why it could have or could not have led to a British victory.
