As we move into these final few chapters and weeks I have one more video for you to watch and respond to. This video is a debate between Bill Nye and Ken Ham. Again this is a long video so allow yourself time to watch it. Also I am going to be asking you to do a bit of research about both speakers before you go into this debate (many of you probably already know who Bill Nye is….but if you don’t here is your opportunity). After viewing the video you will need to write an essay in responses (similar to the Last Lecture paper earlier). The point of this is for you all to see Persuasive presentations in action in the forum of a debate. Now the video is long and will require some critical thinking on your part. Also and this is really important….when watching this video do your best to view it and take it in as unbiased as possible. It deals with a topic that could hit home for some due your best to devoid your personal stance on the issue and evaluate the speakers based on their ability to use facts/research/to support their thesis. This is crucial to this assigment having maximum effect.
