What were specific impacts and outcomes of U.S. participation in and it’s role in the Cold War?
You might consider choosing one category: cultural, economic, foreign policy, political, or social, as a way to organize your research. In addition to utilizing our OpenStax textbook, you will include research from at least THREE other ACADEMIC sources, in addition to at least ONE PRIMARY source that supports your claim. You should include in your analysis a brief definition of the Cold War as it relates to your topic. For example, if you analyze the Cuban Missile Crisis, you would want to provide a brief analysis/summary of the way in which the Soviet Union held influence in Cuba and the tense relationship between the U.S.S.R. and the U.S.
Based upon the textbook readings as well as FOUR additional academic sources (including 1 primary source), you will write a 3-page essay that examines your topic of choice, with a corresponding annotated bibliography.
To get started, you will create an annotated bibliography to be submitted prior to the final essay. The annotated bibliography has a separate submission section here: Essay Annotated Bibliography which also includes further instructions.
Essay Annotated Bibliography:
OpenStax textbook (COUNTS AS ONLY ONE SOURCE);
1 primary source (good places to check online: museums, libraries, presidential libraries, historical newspapers, OR check with me for suggestions!);
all academic sources (this means no history.com, no personal blogs, no wikipedia).
