Essay Topic for week 5: Why was W. Wilson neutral to the growing conflict of World War I (WWI)? What were the consequences of the Zimmermann telegram and what was the note about? Why were the Germans so upset about the Allies’ decision to use the colonial troops in World War I? Who was René Fonck, and what were his accomplishments? How would you characterize WWI in comparison to all previous military conflicts based on the “Allied Ace of Aces” reading? Answer all.
