What would you do if you had to visit Spain and suddenly had to wait until 2:00 or 3:00pm for lunch or 9:00 or 10:00pm for dinner?

In many parts of the Spanish-speaking world, people approach meals and schedules differently than in the U.S. One major difference is that in many countries, the mid-day meal is the main meal and a lighter meal will be eaten at night. Similarly, countries like Spain will not eat their last meal (“la cena”) until anywhere between 9:00-10:00 at night. Usually, Spaniards will just have a light soup or cold cuts and bread for dinner before they go to bed at around 11:00pm-1:00am. What are the advantages and disadvantages of structuring meals in this way? What would you do if you had to visit Spain and suddenly had to wait until 2:00 or 3:00pm for lunch or 9:00 or 10:00pm for dinner?
