What you have learned in this class that supports the author’s perspective or disagree with the author’s perspective? You can include data and theory to answer this.

For this assignment, you will first need to choose a current event in tertiary education. Some examples that come to mind are growing student loan debt, continuing racial inequality in college graduations rates, poor performance in critical thinking, corporate corruption in higher educations administration..etc.

Once you have chosen a topic, find a newspaper or magazine article that expresses an opinion on the matter. Blog posts, statistical reports, or short newspaper articles are not acceptable sources. You will need to find an article with a point of view with ample information.

You will need to submit an electronic version of the article you will be using along with a 1.5-page critical analysis of the article. You will support this author’s perspective or challenge it.

When you write up the critical analysis, be sure to include:
– A very brief summary of the article (no more than 4 sentences)
– What you have learned in this class that supports the author’s perspective or disagree with the author’s perspective? You can include data and theory to answer this.
– You will be evaluated in terms of how thoroughly you apply the class material.

The only sources that you will be able to use are the files that I will provide. Please make sure to use in-text citations.
For the powerpoints, I will be using please cite ( Soc 122, and the week of the PowerPoint)
