This final project is a complete media planning. Based on the first six projects, you will select and revise to make a complete media plan. What you need to add is the perspective of omnichannel shopping and a set of metrics of the effectiveness of the media plan.
This project should include most of the following:
Campaign objectives in light of the brand challenges
Target audience, their characteristics, and media use
Media selection and budget allocation
Programmatic buying recommendations
Metrics for the media plan evaluation
Caveat. For this final project, the worst approach would be copy parts from here and there of previous projects and paste them into the final media plan, with little revising. Doing so would guarantee a low score for the final report. The right way is to see previous projects as only drafts and develop a new final project out of these drafts in light of the instructor’s comments on previous projects.
Submission. Each project should consist of 12-16 slides (4 more slides than previous projects), including the cover and references slides. The cover slide should have unit number, the brand name and logo, and your name. The project should include at least 3 references in MLA style (including links) on a separate slide. Regardless you use Microsoft PowerPoint or Google Slides, please save the file in PDF and submit it to the designated Assignments folder under Assessments. Take a final look at the PDF before submission to make sure nothing is out of shape when being saved. Only submit the final version. No email submission. No late project unless in documented emergency.
Grading Rubric. (1) Coverage (all of required content is covered), (2) Research (information is highly relevant, current and adequate), (3) Analysis (insightful with reasonable recommendations), (4) Creativity (use of adequate visuals that are brand-related and high quality), and (5) Layout (all slides well designed, consistent, attractive, and error-free). Scores range from Sophisticated to 20 points to Competent for 16 points and Not Yet Competent for 12 points on each of these five criteria. Please see the project rubric under Assessments.
