Task Descriiption:
You will be given a choice of three (3) selected advertisements. You need to select one of the advertisements and you will analyse and write an advertisement review for that advertisement, focusing on the following criteria:
Part A:
Describe the ad.
Does the ad work?
What works and why?
What does not work and why not?
Who is the intended audience? Is it appropriate for the audience?
What is the brand positioning? Does this match the way the brand is positioned in the ad?
What are the key messages? Are these aligned to the target audience, the brand and its positioning?
Part B:
In part B, your analysis will focus on:
What you would do differently to improve the advertisement and why.
What you would do differently to improve the intended outcomes and why.
Remember to research the current marketing environment to detect all media and vehicles that the advertisement or elements of the campaign appear in.
This is very important as very few advertisements appear in one medium only.
The identification of the range of media used will give you important insights to the target market.
Failure to identify the range of media will affect your ability to write a thorough report.
Referencing: A minimum of 10 scholarly resources is expected at a pass level with additional industry reports and company resources.
