1) Why and how has the
competitive marketplace for SAB changed in the last five to
seven years?
The competitive marketplace for SAB has changed
due to the new CEO of central Transports (Jean Beierlein) operation.
The CEO of SAB wanted to collaborate with Jean and central transport
to transform their way of distribution. For
Susan to modify the strategic direction for SAB and attract
some larger retailers, the CEO must be willing to Adapt to add a
third party. Not only would
the company Collab with great central transportation,
but it would be with a successful previous partnership.
2) What advantages my central experience in
a proposed new venture?
3) What issues would SAB in central face in the
proposed innovative approach?
The
basic issues associated with the collaboration
are price, promotion, formation of conditions and legal issues. SAB would
be competing against large retailers like Wal-Mart, who also get
their products from the same manufacturers.
Globalization must be concerned because its impact SAB business
to increase in import products
to more diverse population in the United States on
an ongoing such for lower price alternative for
their customers. Vital information is essential to create more
value for customers, reduce inventory costs,
and prevent backlogs. Moreover, the three major players
in this supply chain should work on the method they would want to share
information up and down the chain. Information systems should reflect
real-time flow of products and information to reduce uncertainty and
complexity. Then both companies would fight about who is right and who is
wrong, tearing the venture apart
