Essays are 2,000 words in length, excluding references and quoted material. There must be evidence of complete and extensive documentation. Footnotes (appearing at the bottom of pages) are required as opposed to end notes (placed at the end of the document). APA, MLA and related styles are not acceptable. Undocumented essays cannot be accepted for assessment under any circumstance and will be returned unmarked. Essays must be presented with accuracy when citing from sources and when interpreting scholarly literature. Failure to do so is viewed as a grave deficiency. Plagiarism is a serious matter and shall be treated as such. Plagiarised essays are subjected to severe penalties and it is inexcusable to plead ignorance.
