Midterm Research Paper:
Chapter Four outlines the theories of homicide. Why do people commit homicide? You will
choose one of the theories from the chapter to research further:

A summary of that research must be presented in a research paper meeting the following criteria:
• Include an introduction and conclusion.
• Briefly describe how the theory explains crime in general.
• Describe how the theory specifically explains the crime of homicide.
• Summarize at least one (1) peer-reviewed article that discusses the combination of your chosen
theory and the crime of homicide.
• At least three (3) peer-reviewed articles total.
• Must be at least 7 pages in length.
• APA-style in-text citations and references page.
• Double-spaced
• 12-point Times New Roman font
• 1-inch margins (all sides – check your default setting)
