The impact of
leadership on organizational performance and team building is pivotal in
determining success. An effective leader focuses on developing a strong
team that is able to work collaboratively for
the benefit of the organization.
Directions:
For this
assignment, read the case studies at the end of Chapter 3: “Baxter, the
Self-Adoring Charismatic” and “Turnaround Ashley.” Both are leaders in
their profession, but two different leadership styles
are applied: charismatic and transformational leadership.
Reflecting on the unit reading, answer these questions (minimum of 250 words for each answer) using the Unit
2 Assignment Template:
Will Ashley be a successful transformational leader at Ultra Cover? Why or why not?
What suggestions would you give to Baxter so that he can make more effective use of his charisma?
Do you see yourself as a charismatic or transformational leader? Explain your answer with at least two examples.
How do these case studies add to or change your thoughts on leadership and team building?
