You must have at least 6 full pages (1500 words) for the essay to be acceptable. Your Works Cited is a separate page from your 6 full pages of writing. If you have 1500 words but not 6 full pages, I will return your paper to you.
You must use at least 5 outside sources besides Affluenza (primary source) for a total of 6 sources, and at least one of those outside sources must be a print source (i.e., a book, a newspaper article, an article from a periodical, an article stored on a database). You should use academic sources (library database). And remember, your research assignment should only use about 15-20% of quoted material, so choose your quotes wisely.
Clearly state your thesis in your introduction
Write in 3rd person.
Give a minimum of 3 reasons to support your thesis, and support each reason with evidence from the text and any other appropriate outside sources.
Do not forget to include a refutation, if your topic is persuasive.
Use correct MLA documentation and format in your paper, and include a Works Cited list. Your Works Cited page is not counted as a part of your written pages. It is the last page.
Make sure that you narrow your topic to a subject that can be covered completely and authoritatively in 6-8 pages.
Do NOT plagiarize in any form. Plagiarized papers will be penalized.
