The idea is to find children’s book (or young adult) to experience
books you can share with classes of young children.
For this assignment, first you will search for books (3) that serve as mirrors for you, and you will identify which parts of yourself are reflected in those books. Review and listen to lots of different stories to find those that most resonate with you. You will use the StoryLine Online to hear the books read to you.
Then you will select a set of books (3) that include representations of an identity with which you do not identify and write about the way individuals and groups with this identity were portrayed through the text and illustrations. Then describe what you learned from it.
