You will be choosing a specific population served within the Corrections system and
researching that population to complete the following requirements for your paper.
Specific Population: Women in Corrections
1. Pick 1 population you’re interested in learning more about and discuss why you chose that
population.
2. Discuss at least 2 issues facing that population within the Corrections system.
3. Share 3 possible solutions to the problems and state why you think these are solutions.
4. Report 4 insights you gained from your research and how they impacted your learning and
future
goals.
5. Make at least 5 connections to outside sources.
At least 2 sources must be outside of the
textbook.
• Topics regarding specific populations that are covered in the readings vary. You may choose
one of those topics or another topic outside of the readings I’ve assigned.
You will need to reference some of
the textbook for this assignment.
• Your paper should be 4-5 pages and in 12-point Times Roman Numeral font, double-spaced.
Your reference page is not included in the 4-5 pages and is required.
• THIS ASSIGNMENT MUST BE TYPED. NO EXCEPTIONS

You may choose to do each section in order. However, you must have a minimum of 5
connections
noted throughout your paper and you must cite your sources. You cannot make
a claim or offer up a
solution without having something to back it up. I, of course, will accept
more connections.
