2. Social-critical dissertation: You must write an essay on an issue related to gender and globalization. The dissertation should be generally approached from a social-critical and feminist perspective. Some examples of subjects you can choose from but are not limited to are the following: women, migration and care; prostitution, sex work, and human trafficking; women, war, and violence; and indigenous issues on a global scale. Your essay must start with an introduction to present the main parts of your paper (less than a page) and finish with a conclusion (less than a page). The paper should be divided into a few parts, each with a sub-title. Your list of references (after your conclusion) should include only the references for authors or works cited in your paper. Your proposal must consist of 6-8 pages of paper double-spaced, not including the cover page and the list of references. A minimum of 5 refereed articles is required, but any other source may be used in addition to the 5 refereed articles. Your essay and references must be formatted according to the privileged APA style.
