World History (Renaissance DBQ)

This is a DBQ. The driving question is, “How did the Renaissance change man’s view of the world?” There are four documents you can use to help you find the main points for each paragraph. You need an introduction, three main points supporting the driving question, and a conclusion. Each of these documents will help you. The three main points I came up with already that support and answer the driving question are…

1. The view of the world and how religion changed throughout the Renaissance time period. The documents that will help you the most with this point are documents B and C.

Here are some things related to supporting this point and what you could add to the point or research:
-People saw themselves in a new way during the Renaissance
-art/literature blossomed and there were groundbreaking scientific advances.
-The fall of the Roman empire (500 CE-1350)
-Roman catholic churches were primary players in Europe.

2. Individualism
The documents that will help you the most with this point are documents D, A, and C.

here are some things related to supporting this point and what you could add to the point or research:
-peasants became more self-sufficient.
-more serfs gained freedom. They no longer depended on lords.
-some migrated to different towns.
-humanism developed/encourage the beauty and intelligence of the individual.

3. The growth of education
The documents that will help you the most with this point are documents be, D, and maybe C.

here are some things related to supporting this point and what you could add to the point were research:
-The body being open and leaving what is inside there.
-people learning to read
-The sun does not orbit the earth. the planets and earth orbit the sun.

To summarize or help with your understanding of what your writing, Write about how/why each of these points changed mans view of the world during the renaissance. So, how did the growth of education, individualism, and the change of religion change mans view of the world.

Also, below each document there are a set of questions that help you analyze/support whatever point is being made. My answers may or may not be helpful or makes sense to you so I recommend that you re-answer them maybe on a separate piece of paper to help you.
There should be photos of all documents A, B, C, and D attached. If I miss one just text me and i’ll send you a picture. The first two pages are just an introduction. Sorry about all the information, just trying to make things as easy on you as possible.
