Write a 3 – 5 – page paper about a chapter or chapters in the textbook that best applies to your current developmental stage.

1. Write a 3 – 5 – page paper about a chapter or chapters in the textbook that best applies to your current developmental stage. If you feel you are experiencing characteristics of more than one stage (overlapping stages – for example, you may feel you are in between Emerging Adulthood and Adulthood), include this in your analysis.

2. Your paper should include your thoughts and reflections on particular chapters of the textbook and module lectures as they relate to you and your current stage of development. Do not write about or use terms describing your child’s life stage. This paper is about you! The terms and concepts should come from the chapters that describe your current age (for example, if you are 23, you would likely use terms from the Emerging Adulthood chapters – Chapters 17, 18, and 19).

3. It is okay to mention some historical information about your background, but this should be a minimal part of your paper; the paper should focus on your current developmental stage.

4. Identify terms and/or concepts from your textbook that apply to your current stage. An “A” paper will include at least 5 terms/concepts (highlight your terms in bold) that you have clearly integrated with events and behaviors from your current life stage. Just doing a review of the chapter, or talking only about your current life events with no reference to the textbook, will result in a significant point reduction.

5. Spelling, grammar, and punctuation do count!

6. Organization is also important; please be sure that your paper has a clear introduction, body (with separate paragraphs), and conclusion.
