Write a few words about what you think piety is in comparison with Socrates’s ideas.
Write (1) a short paragraph on your own answers and (2) a short paragraph commenting on at least one other student’s answer. Please do not simply say that you agree or disagree but rather explain why you agree or disagree;
and please do not copy and paste what you said in the written assignment.
Please do not submit anything for the Thursday discussion until the Tuesday assignment has been graded and the Lecture Notes, when appropriate, are published. The rationale is that we all need to be on the same page before the discussion starts.
Sometimes, I’ll make comments to each of you individually online; sometimes, I’ll make comments to the whole group while responding to individual or group contributions. Either way, the idea is to guide the conversation forward by asking new questions, clarifying people’s comments, or correcting any inaccuracies. Either way, you can comment on my comments, online or via email, if you’d like–I encourage you to do so.
