Write a one page (no more than 300 words) that explores suggestions for future research, based on existing published research. Synthesize consensus on a more focused topic, related to your overall topic of research interest. When looking at dissertations, typically in chapter 5, you will find a section on suggestions for future research. Begin to understand the landscape of literature related to your topic of interest and start identifying gaps in the research pointing to a need for further investigation.
