Write a paper examining a political conspiracy of your
choosing. You can choose a conspiracy that we’ve already covered in class or one that
we haven’t discussed so long as it is related to politics. If you aren’t sure if your
conspiracy is political enough, then make sure to ask me.
After choosing your conspiracy, you will have to examine it in 3 ways:
First, you should make the most convincing case you can in favor of your chosen
conspiracy being true, using any sources you can find (legitimate or less than
legitimate.)
Second, you should attempt to debunk your chosen conspiracy using only mainstream
legitimate sources.
Third, you should make the most convincing case possible that your chosen
conspiracy is true using only mainstream legitimate sources.
Each of these sections should be around 2 double-spaced pages.
Finally, having made these attempts to prove/debunk your chosen conspiracy, you should
end your paper with a brief (~2 page) discussion on why you believe conspiracy theories
are so prevalent in modern American life and whether you believe conspiracy theories do
more harm or good for society, defending your positions to both questions.

Essays should be approximately 1500-1750 words in length (around 7-8 pages, not
counting headers and citations) in Times New Roman 12 pt font, double spaced
with 1 inch margins
