The project should involve individual (or small group, in the case of presentations) research on a moral issue (it may be an issue we have discussed in the course of the semester, or you may choose your own topic – please consult with me first if you do this), and students apply some of the moral theories/views to the issue in the course of defending a stance on the issue. Students may choose to submit their research and arguments in the form of a presentation to the class, or a more traditional argumentative research essay route. Essays should be at least 1500 words (but longer is fine and encouraged), and defend a clear thesis.
