For your Argument Essay, you will select a current topic about which you feel strongly, take a stance on the issue, perform research and write a 4-5pg essay arguing your point. I’m going to allow a lot of freedom when it comes to choosing your topic. However, please stay away from overused ones such as gun control, abortion, marijuana legalization or anything involving faith-based religions.
This essay will require FIVE outside sources, including a) three scholarly articles from NC Live and b) two sources from any domain you choose, including books, websites, YouTube, Twitter, etc. (as always, make sure to properly vet your sources). It you include more than five citations, that’s fine! The essay must be cited in MLA 9th edition.
