The objective is to sell (pitch) your idea/subject to your audience in a 60 second video elevator pitch. Your pitch should be persuasive and convincing. The subject of your pitch could include:
Why you should receive a $10,000 scholarship. In this scenario, you want to convince the audience that you are the best candidate for the scholarship and why they should believe this is true.
You are soliciting a contribution for a worthy cause. In this scenario, you will need to convince your audience that the cause is worthy and why they should believe that the cause/organization is worthier than other causes/organizatioWrite a paper on Why you are the best candidate for a job. In this scenario, you are trying to convince your audience that you should be selected for a job and why they should believe this is true.
Remember that these are brief video pitches to convince your audience to act on something and/or to believe something. You will want to be articulate, convincing, and persuasive. You will create a written document to accompany your video pitch. This paper can be an outline with the key points for your elevator pitch. Your pitch should be a maximum of 60 seconds – so practice! You will present to your instructor at a prearranged time through ZOOM.
