Individual Paper:
Using the company where you work or have worked, identify 2‐3 HR related problems and propose a solution(s)
to those problems. The problem must be related to HR (e.g. job description, compensation, training,
performance appraisal, recruitment, selection). You must use information from the texbook or PPT slides to
propose a solution to the problems. Your paper should be between 4‐5 pages. You need to clearly state in your
paper the HR problems and the proposed solutions. More information will be provided at the Teams meetings.
The due date for the paper is April 10th.
In case you don’t have any work experience please use your creativity and come up with HR related problems.
The paper will be graded on the following criteria:
Clear identification of the HR problems 20%.
Proposed solutions 50%
Grammar and punctuation, neatness, professional appearance of report (10%).
Logic and Organization (20%).
Grades for papers not turned in on the due date will be lowered 5 points for each day of lateness. The paper
must be printed/typed, double‐spaced, times new roman (12) on 8‐1/2″ x 11″ paper, using black ink. Margins will not be less than one inch, nor more than 1‐1/2″ left and right; not more than one inch, top and bottom.
Points will be deducted for poor grammar, spelling, and appearance. The final paper will include a cover sheet
with the following items recorded: title, student name, course number, and semester.

Font. Use Times New Roman 12‐point font.
Margins. Use 1‐inch margins. Do not align the right margin. To set the margins in Word 2007, choose Margins in
the Page Layout menu.
Line Spacing. Double‐space the entire document.
Indenting. Indent the first line of each paragraph 1/2″ by pressing the Tab key once
