Expository Paper: The expository essay is a genre of essay that requires the student to investigate an idea, evaluate evidence, expound on the idea, and set forth an argument concerning that idea in a clear and concise manner.
Topic: The Power of Language
Upon inspection of certain readings, evaluate how the language people use might not
always reveal to others what they truly understand. This can be due to the fact that different groups of
people choose to communicate in different ways or because one might not be fluent in a
particular kind of language or expression. Maybe one’s vocabulary does not match the topic or
environment in which they are called upon to express themselves. We will also discuss how writers can
