Write a reaction paper to Karen Armstrong’s A Short History of Myth. The paper should be a well-written essay with proper grammar, good writing mechanics and style. The essay will identify and discuss three interesting points of the book and offer one criticism. You have to demonstrate that you understand the context and details of the points of interest. Your points of discussion/critique must cover the entire book, not just the first few chapters. For the criticism, explain what she says and then offer a reasoned critique identifying what was of concern to you. The word count is important. The word count does not include anything that is not the essay proper (e.g., my name, your name, title, date, etc).
An A grade is for papers that exceed expectations in terms of grammar, style, mechanics, analysis, discussion, and critique. A B grade means that you met expectations and wrote a good paper. A C grade means that the paper has good elements but there is a deficiency in one or two aspects of the writing and content. D & F indicate an overall serious deficiency in most or all aspects of the essay.
