We did a mission trip in Immokalee FL
The mission trip was sunday july 17-tues July 19th. 9 students including myself & my professor and assistant professor. Drove from Miami fl to Immokalee FL.
Sunday when arrived we went to a hispanic church educated kids/parents about BP, DIABETES, BRUSHING TEETH and also made small donations . we went to a haitian church next and was able to present about diabetes also donated school supplies clothes and toileteries. the next day we went to an all girl correctional school educated the kids about DID BLOOD PRESSURE, WEIGHT BMI. HIV/ LUNG DISEASE, HUMAN TRAFFICKING, BREAST CANCER ETC.
ON DAY 3 WE DROVE TO HAITIAN COMMUNITY ANR DONATED MORE ITEMS
