Please keep the following in mind as we move forward. When writing your research papers, make sure you are following APA format. You do need an abstract, a running head and page numbers on your papers. I’ve included many links for you to help you with APA so please take the time to look at them. You also need to make sure you are properly citing your information. This is very important considering this is a master’s level course. By not following APA format for citations, you are plagiarizing, which will result in a zero moving forward for your papers. For most of you, this is not your first class and most of you have already had the writing class so there is no reason for these types of mistakes.
Another area to focus on is the content of your papers. Do not repeat information. Focus on your organization. As you are writing, make sure you are clear on the topics you are focusing on. I should not be reading the same info, worded differently, in the body of your papers. Also, make sure you are using the research from the articles you use. This is why you are doing research. Use statistics and data to make your statements stronger. Again, use the links provided to help you with your writing and research. If you do not understand what the article is saying, find another one! Do not use it. It doesn’t help your paper if you don’t understand the point of the article. Also make sure you are reading the entire article, not just the abstract.
Finally, have someone read your papers, I am seeing way too many grammatical errors for this level of writing. Use Grammarly and if you don’t have someone to read your paper, read it out loud to yourself, you will hear the errors.
