Write a research paper that utilizes the case study method. This final assignment will require both an accurate understanding of the theories themselves and a mastery of the empirical material.
For papers utilizing the case study method, the case chosen should be different from that used for the group presentation (Korean War).
Papers utilizing the case study method should include the following components:
Introduction: This section establishes 1) the historical significance of the case and 2) its appropriateness for testing theories.
Theory: Theories are introduced, particularly their assumptions, causal logics, and observable implications.
Findings: This section presents the case narrative(s) with a particular emphasis on the events relevant to the validity of the theories. It also provides an assessment of the usefulness of each theory in light of the evidence.
Conclusion: The conclusion discusses limitations, as well as scholarly implications, policy implications, and avenues for future research.
