Kat McAlpine writes (2021, February 17), “A survey by a Boston University researcher of nearly 33,000 college students across the country reveals the prevalence of depression and anxiety in young people continues to increase, now reaching its highest levels, a sign of the mounting stress factors due to the coronavirus pandemic, political unrest, and systemic racism and inequality.”
Stress seems an integral part of our lives. It is particularly true nowadays. Write a short essay reflecting on a particular college experience that’s associated with stress, depression, or anxiety that’s derived directly from one of the factors (coronavirus pandemic, political unrest, systemic racism, or inequality). Include in the essay when it happened, what happened, how it happened, what you learned from that experience, and how it affected your academic performance (good or bad or both good and bad).
You are not required to integrate any source, but you are welcome to do so. Please note you must give credit to the source (both in-text citation and Works Cited) if you decide to use any. Use MLA to format your essay and document your source(s) (if integrated any).
