The pod cast provided a very detailed look at what happens to people when they perish from Covid-19. When you think about Covid you don’t usually think about what happens to the bodies when they pass away. He explained the warehouse that preserved the bodies as if they were an amazon fulfillment center. The process he described was disturbing. How teams set out and collect corpses from hospitals, homes, and retirement centers. Bodies from all over are brought to the warehouse where they are examined, tagged and wheeled into a tractor trailer. The tractor trailers are giant fridges that preserve the dead. He explained how the trailers were built to hold 45 bodies but redesigned to carry double the amount of bodies. It’s sad to think the dead are all gather and are piled into a trailer until they are properly picked up by family or a funeral home. It was also sad to learn that many bodies were brought to Heart Island. This was because they were unidentified or families were unable to recover their dead family members corpus. This site is a giant burial site for the dead. This is not the proper way to bury our loved ones. One of the most disturbing things he talked about was how the dead was recovered. When you think of spring you think of flowers and warm weather. The warm weather warms up the corpses and allows the neighbors to smell their rotting neighbors. It usual for the neighbors to not see each other for periods of time, allowing a body to not be found for over a long period of time. After googling the current Covid. death rate to be 648K it was easier to see why some of these issues are taking place. As said in the video 9/11 had 3,000 casualties, but since Covid their has been 20,000 in the area. This area is unprepared for all these deaths and are struggling to properly bury loved ones. The number surprised me because I used to keep track of the deaths until the last year, and it has increased drastically. As. the number continues to increase more issues will arise overtime.
