Letter with today’s requirements. In addition, this assignment will show if the
students understand how to:
Apply and set tabs (Links to an external site.) to Google
Docs.
Create and apply the concepts to produce a Targeted/Focused
Resume for a specific job.
Know & understand how to create a Cover Letter in a
Business Letter Format,

Format: Write your
Targeted/Focused Resume. All dates must be formatted with tabs to the
right. You are not allowed to use any
templates for your resume. Your resume
must be written in Google Docs. The resume should be one page. The top portion
of your resume must be written in this order.
You name
Your address
Your city, state, and zip code
Your Email address
Your telephone number
A Professional Summary or Profile
Directions
Assignment: Find an advertisement on the Internet for a
position for which you are qualified at this time. Please adhere to the recommendations in the
document, What is a Targeted/Focused Resume in Canvas.
Using Google Docs, create a new Resume, and Cover Letter
that you could submit in response to the advertisement. The Cover Letter must be in a business letter
format. While this Resume and Cover Letter is a class assignment, you should
consider updating your Resume to be a process that will be ongoing throughout
your career.
A Targeted/Focused Resume: Only list the positions or
experiences that are relevant to this position.

Submit your resume and cover letter in the following
formats:
Google Docs Only
You will put both your Resume & Cover Letter in your
Google Docs Folder. Then submit the URL to your Google Doc in Canvas (for more
information refer to: “How to Share a File or Folder”). See the grading Rubric for more details
