Leaders must not only be self-aware, they must be others aware, and aware of the world
out there. You will write a “thought leadership” paper about a current social or global
issue requiring leadership.
Your aim in writing this paper is –
(a) to raise a social/global issue,
(b) persuade your audience to see its importance,
(c) articulate a leadership call to action to move others in the world to help
resolve this issue.
** Your audience in this paper are your peers in this class.
Examples topics include: environmental problems, Canadian or global politics, famine,
refugees, homelessness, human trafficking, aboriginal land rights, child poverty, medical
assistance in dying/euthanasia, diversity and inequality in leadership, etc.
Total paper length is five pages, not including the title page and reference page which
you should also add.
